Dashboard
Add categories, items, modifier groups, and options here — the Order screen updates immediately, since it's all reading from the same menu data. No code changes needed. Changes are saved automatically and reload with the page.
▶Master toppings
One flat list — every topping used anywhere on the menu. Attach any of these to an item's modifier group below instead of retyping it; edit a price here and every item using it updates. Curated subsets (e.g. "Burger Add-ons") are built separately under Add-on lists.
▶Add-on lists
Curated bundles built from the toppings above — e.g. "Burger Add-ons" or "Dog Add-ons." Build a list once by checking which toppings belong, then apply the whole thing to an item's Add-ons group in one step.
▶Modifier group types
The fixed set of group types available when adding a modifier group to an item — kept standardized here instead of typed fresh each time.
Backend server
Point every register and KDS screen at the same shared server so tickets, menu edits, and printer setup stay in sync across devices. Leave blank to run this device standalone on its own local copy (the old behavior).
Registers
Device sign-in is off, so there's no list of registers.
Every iPad, iPhone and browser signed in to NFA POS. Pick a store to move a register there. Remove a device (a lost iPad, an old browser) to cut it off right away; the others stay signed in.
Stores
Each store has its own details (sales tax, time zone), its own receipt, 86 list and printer addresses; the menu, prices, discounts, employees and gift cards are shared. Open a store to edit its details or its receipt separately. Every register belongs to one store (set it under Registers).

This device
Default tab on load
Which screen this device opens to when the page loads — useful if a device is dedicated to one job (e.g. always show Kitchen on the KDS screen).
Stations this screen shows
Kitchen stations are the kitchen screens under Printers (e.g. Grill, Fry, Expo). Pick one or more; none picked = All stations. Bumping here only clears this screen's stations — other screens keep the order until they bump it too, and the order is done once every station on it has bumped. A station can pass the order on when it bumps (Printers → Edit a kitchen screen → Next screen).
Receipt printer
Where this register prints customer receipts. What the receipt shows is set for each printer under Printers → Receipt content.
Keep screen awake
The screen stays on while NFA POS is open, so registers and kitchen screens don't dim or lock. Turn off on a device you only use now and then.

Kitchen wait to show when there’s no history yet min
Wait times (register, NFA Mobile) come from how long the kitchen has been taking and how many orders are on the screens. This number is only used until there are tickets to go on.
Set up physical printers, decide what routes to which one, and control exactly what shows up on the printed customer receipt.
1. Printers
Add every printer (kitchen printer, sticky label printer, receipt printer, etc.) — or an "On-screen printer," which is a KDS screen rather than a physical printer. Printers are run by the NFA POS app on the iPad or iPhone (this web page doesn't print); give each physical printer its IP address. Once a printer exists here, go to 2. Profiles below to decide what prints to it.
2. Profiles
A profile determines what prints — or, for an on-screen printer, what displays — and which printer it goes to when an order is sent to the kitchen. For example: a "Kitchen" profile always sends the full order to the kitchen printer, a "Modified items" profile sends any item with changes to the sticky printer as its own label, and a "Sides" profile sends items in the Sides category to the Sides Screen. For an on-screen printer, only the condition (Always / Has changes / Category) matters — "Whole order vs. each item" and the template are ignored.
Receipt printer
Default receipt printer
This register prints receipts to
Each register (this browser, each iPad) can pick its own receipt printer; one left on Default uses the default printer.
Every profile (kitchen ticket, sticky labels, on-screen KDS) always runs the moment a charge completes — that's not optional, so an order can't be sent to the kitchen without the kitchen actually being told.
Test prints: NFA POS app on the iPad or iPhone → Settings → Printers.
Receipt content
What shows on the printed customer receipt. Each printer can have its own settings (pick it under Settings for); the rest use the defaults. The kitchen ticket and sticky labels are unaffected by these.
